But, first of all, let’s check what is Mapifator map story by itself and what features does it have.
Places are the main entities in the Mapifator map story. You can filter them by tags and learn more about the place by clicking on it. You can attach to the place some amenities like, for example, parking tourist centers and others and geometries like, for example, boundaries, routes or any custom geometries to tell your customers more about the place.
Map info allows you to provide data about the map and set up tag filters which will appear together with map information.
And now let's see how we create and edit a map story.
We recommend you to start with markers and text for your places. Go to the “Settings” tab and defined here how your places will appear on the map and which features they could have. You can also select a map type in the map settings.
Go to the “Places” menu item to add and edit places. Here you can define location for the place and add some interesting information about the place, choose the place marker and define tags.
All changes you make immediately appear in the map preview.
In the map info you can name and describe your map story. You can specify some tag filters to provide your customers with quick access to some places.
In the style menu item you can set up design and colors for your map. Choose between different layouts for Map info, list items, and place view. In the “Theming” tab you can define a color scheme for your map story. Select colors that fit the best to your website or application.
Open embed or share dialog to get a share link or embed code for the map. Click copy button to put the required string into the clipboard.
